Open Door Mission

Founded in 1952, the Open Door Mission is a Christian, non-profit, rescue mission founded on the belief that with proper resources, hope can be restored and lives of impoverished men, women and children of Rochester, NY could be forever changed. The Open Door Mission seeks to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the impoverished and homeless in the Rochester community. They provide services such as an addiction recovery residential program, clothing distribution, daily meal service, and the Women & Children’s Residential Program, which aids families in crisis.

There are opportunities to help financially support food/Ccothing donations, individual/group volunteers (Meal service, clothes sorting, housekeeping, landscaping), fundraising events, gift In-Kind Services.
